Stylex Advertising, Art Direction & Web Design
Following the successful launch of the Sava chair for Stylex, we created the advertising for two new chairs: Allround by the Copenhagen based duo Iskos-Berlin and Brooks by the British designer Paul Brooks. A survey by the magazine Interiors & Sources placed our ad for the Allround chair first in its category for message and creative effectiveness (AdEffect Report, February 2013).
We also designed and art directed the photography for a new suite of collateral material and redesigned the website
. The photography is by Stefano Massei . Giulia Ferro was the lead designer on the website project.
Arborite Product design
Montreal based high-pressure laminate company Arborite has asked us to participate in the creation of a special collection named Arborite Ink, designed by interior architects Peggy Leung and Gonzalo Bustamante and by Giona Maiarelli. The Ink Collection was introduced in Chicago at NeoCon 2013. Our design, Pyne, is a playful re-imagining of the classic wood grain pattern. We also created the identity for the collection and designed the NeoCon booth display for the new collection. The portrait of the designers is by Jeremy Frechette
Alius - Advertising, Art Direction & Print Design
Advertising campaign, promotional materials, both institutional and product focused, and a new visual vocabulary that we created for Alius, an Italian brand of cosmetics. The ethos of the company, and the basis of our design, is a holistic concept of beauty. The project was a collaboration with Liberate le aragoste , an advertising consultancy in Bologna. The advertising page photo is by Mark Pillai. The product photography is by Stefano Massei . Packaging design is by Tassinari & Vetta.
We were commissioned by Paris based choreographer and dancer Samuel Murez to design the identity of his new dance company, Murez & Co. The company will be touring the United States this summer with several shows at the Jacob's Pillow dance festival in Becket, MA.
For the 20th anniversary of Ceramics of Italy's Design Competition we created this logo which was the centerpiece of an interactive exhibition at both Coverings, in Atlanta, and ICFF in New York. Andrea Saccavini collaborated on both logos.
University of Bologna Poster Design
The University of Bologna asked that we design a poster for a lecture that they had organized with the rising star of Chinese fashion design, Uma Wang. She represents a new generation of fashion brands where the clothes are designed in Shanghai and produced by artisans and small manufactures in Italy. Wang's sculptural clothes inspired this collage of the image of the designer.
